Setup Guide
Download MoleTun
Get MoleTun for Windows, macOS, or Linux. Installation takes less than a minute.
Create a Room
Open MoleTun and click 'Create Room'. Share the 6-digit code with your Viking crew.
Friends Join the Room
Friends open MoleTun, click 'Join Room', and enter your code. Everyone is now on the same virtual LAN.
Host Your World
In Valheim, click Start Game → select your character → select your world → Start. Your friends can now join.
Friends Connect
Friends click Join Game → Join IP, enter the host's MoleTun IP address (shown in the app), and connect.

Can I use mods with MoleTun?▼

Free tier supports 3 players, Pro supports 8, Elite allows unlimited. Valheim itself supports up to 10 players per world.
What if the host disconnects?▼
The world pauses when the host disconnects. Others will be kicked but can rejoin when the host returns. World progress is saved.
Is there lag compared to dedicated servers?▼
MoleTun uses P2P connections with typically under 50ms latency for same-region players—often better than budget dedicated servers.
